Recycled Woodchip and
Garden Mulch

0845 4660284

In keeping with the Arborworks Ltd policy of utilising renewable, sustainable resources, we recycle as much of our own waste as possible. Smaller branches, prunings, bark and leaves are processed through a powerful machine to create chippings. Bulky waste is transformed into useful and beneficial recycled woodchip or garden mulch. Arborworks Ltd is registered with the Environment Agency as a licensed carrier and processor of green waste. Our natural recycled woodchip mulch and our composted garden mulch are useful in many areas including gardens, vegetable plots, play areas and equestrian arenas and gallops.

Arborworks Ltd natural woodchip mulch is produced in two grades:

Composted Garden Mulch is produced from conifer hedge prunings and during the summer when trees are in leaf. It contains a lot of soft 'green' organic matter. After composting for a period this material makes an excellent mulch for garden beds and borders. On vegetable plots composted garden mulch acts as a useful weed suppressant, moisture retainer and frost protector. Over the season the mulch naturally bio-degrades into the soil, releasing nitrogen and other nutrients to enrich your plants.

Uses for Composted Garden Mulch
  • Flower beds and borders
  • Around bushes and shrubs
  • Vegetable gardens and allotments
  • Greenhouse beds
  • Around fruit trees and bushes

Woodchip Mulch is made during the winter, when the branches are bare and the woodchip is of coarser and harder composition. These chips are excellent for creating natural paths, children's play areas and equine areas such as arenas and gallops.

Uses for Woodchip Mulch
  • Natural paths in gardens
  • Environmental 'woodland walks'
  • Play areas for children
  • Equine arenas and gallops

A note about Chipped Bark: Our natural woodchip mulch and composted garden mulch are not to be confused with chipped bark products. The latter harbours mould and fungal spores that can infect shrubs and is often treated with colourants and other chemicals.

Arborworks Ltd supply woodchip mulch in a choice of three load sizes: plastic carry sack, 0.7 cubic metre 'dumpy' bag, or by the cubic metre in loose loads. Minimum order for free delivery is 2 cubic metres.

One cubic metre will cover 10 square metres to a depth of 10cm, which is the ideal rate of cover for optimum weed suppression and frost protection.

Mulch can be delivered free within a fifteen mile radius of Andover Hampshire. For further information or to place an order please contact Arborworks Ltd or call 0845 4660284.
